Nationals fall to the Cardinals 16-10

It was an ugly game (Jordan Zimmerman gave up 8 runs over 3 innings of work) until the bottom of the 9th inning. Down 16-3 heading in to the bottom of the 9th, the Nationals bats woke up.

The bottom of the 9th inning saw 10 Nationals at the plate while scoring 7 runs. Micah Owings started the inning with a solo home run. Zach Walters drilled a two run bomb. And at one point, the RALLY NAPKIN was spotted. F.P. Santangelo immediately scoffed at the arrival of the napkin saying it was too soon in the season for the napkin to make an appearance. The bottom of the 9th inning showed us a team that did not role over when they were down to their last 3 outs and down 13 runs.
