Gio Gonzalez will pitch for Team USA in the World Baseball Classic

2013-world-baseball-classicI’m not sure how I feel about this. Gio Gonzalez has announced that he will pitch for Team USA in the 2013 World Baseball Classic.

The chance that he could get injured here puts the 2013 season at risk. Further, he should be focused on the Nationals’ mission: World Series or bust. Playing the WBC shouldn’t even be on the radar for any Nat right now.

    I’m nervous Gio is going to get hurt at the WBC. Obviously that would derail the beginning of the Nats’ season…
