Free agent RHP Edwin Jackson, who spent the 2012 season with the Washington Nationals, is close to a deal with the Chicago Cubs, according to ESPN’s Buster Olney. The Nats had already passed on offering Jackson a qualifying offer earlier this offseason, effectively ending his days in DC.
